International Students
International Student Support
International Student Experience is a hub to support our graduate international students, supporting individual transition needs and connect you to resources on and off campus.
The International Student Experience website is your main source of information after you have accepted an offer of admission and begun preparations to come to Guelph. In particular, there is a section for New International Students as well as a detailed Graduate International Student Handbook, with a pre-arrival checklist and information about living, studying and working in Canada. Take some time to read it to learn about what to do before you arrive Canada, and resources available for you.
The International Student Advisors (ISAs) provide one-on-one confidential advising to full degree graduate international students, new immigrants, and refugees. ISAs are able to discuss housing, academic concerns, immigration (study permit, visa, post-graduate work permit, etc.), financial difficulties, and culture shock. ISAs are available through appointments, drop-in hours or you can contact an ISA directly.

Getting Involved
After you have settled down, you may want to build a sense of connectedness with the Gryphon community. By connecting with others based on shared identities, interests, and values, you get to broaden your understanding and perspectives about what it means to be a citizen and a member of the global community.
If you would like to connect with other international students on campus, there are several programs available including International Student Connections, Conversation Cafes, i-Chat, and excursions. To stay in touch with International Student Connections, join International Student Connections on GryphLife.
